Common Image Aspect Ratios
Image ratio 2:3
2:3≈0.666, which is closer to the golden ratio. The full-frame size ratio of the camera is 2:3, and other sizes are cropped, so it looks more comfortable in the application. This ratio is mostly used in horizontal images, such as product lists and banner images.
Image ratio 3:4
3:4 design is also very common in the interface. Compared with 2:3, the image is more compact and is mostly used in APPs with a large proportion of images, and is also mostly used in product lists and banners.
Image ratio 1:1
1:1 is also a square composition. This composition has a relatively large proportion of images, so it is mostly used in APPs for product display, avatars, close-up displays and other scenes. It is more common in e-commerce design.
Image ratio 16:9
16:9 is mainly a common composition in movies. This composition gives people a sense of visual openness and is mostly used in video apps.
Golden ratio 16:10
16:10=1.6 is the closest to the golden ratio 1:0.618=1.618, so some designs are now starting to do 16:10 designs. For example, 1920 x 1200 pixels.
